Who does what
As well as our GPs, these team members can help you. Some, such as pharmacists, physiotherapists and social prescribers, may work for our local Primary Care Network. Our reception team is trained to send you to the right one.
Practice nurses
Long-term condition reviews, vaccinations, cervical screening and wound care.
Healthcare assistants
Blood tests, blood pressure checks and health checks.
Dispensary team
Supply medicines to eligible patients and help with prescription queries.
Clinical pharmacists
Medication reviews and advice about your medicines.
First contact physiotherapists
Assess muscle and joint problems such as back pain.
Social prescribers
Connect you with local groups and support for things like loneliness, money worries or housing.
Receptionists and care navigators
Ask you a few questions so you get the right care first time. Everything you tell them is confidential.
Your named GP
Every patient has a named GP who is responsible for their overall care at the practice. This includes patients aged 75 and over.
You can tell us which GP you would prefer to be your named GP. Ask at reception, phone us or write to us, and we will try to meet your preference. You can still see any GP. Ask reception if you want to know who your named GP is.
